AND NOW FOR THE STORY OF US.....
How We Met
Back in November 2000, Chris and
I were both working for Hollywood Video in Lindenhurst. He was the assistant manager and I was a sales associate. A few days
before my birthday Chris had asked if I have any plans for my birthday. At the time, I wasn’t sure if I was going into
the city to see Spider Nick and the Maddogs, so I told him no. He proceeded to see if I wanted to do something for my birthday.
I decided to make plans for November 27, the day after my birthday, in hopes that I was still going to the city.
On the night of the 27th I met him at Hollywood
Video. We drove around for hours talking and trying to figure out what we could do. At about 11pm we finally decided to see
a movie. Chris insisted on taking me to see “How The Grinch Stole Christmas” starring Jim Carey, because I had
never heard the story of the Grinch. Chris and I continued to hang out for the next two weeks. Let it be known however, Chris
never asked me out, nor did I ask him out. The only reason I knew we were dating was because I heard him tell a friend we
were dating. (I guess, he made up for it with his great proposal, CJ your forgiven.)
Some people
believe in love at first sight. Others believe it doesn’t exist. I believe that the phrase doesn’t refer to one’s
physical self but to one’s soul. For me, I was in love at our first sight. On November 27, 2000, I fell in love with
the beauty within Chris’ soul and knew that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him.
(Please
note: I do have several witnesses if you don’t believe me)

The
Bouquet
In May 2004,
Chris’ mother Sandy remarried to her wonderful new husband Randy. Chris and I were both in the wedding party and therefore,
got to walk down the aisle together for the first time.
When it
came time for the bouquet toss I was ready. The flowers came flying back, not at me but at Christina (Chris’ cousin’s
girlfriend). I couldn’t let it happen. I leaped as high as I could and dove in front of her, catching the bouquet, landing
on the flower, and rolling to break my fall.
Our Engagement
One month later, Chris and I decided to take our first cruise together to celebrate my graduation. Little did I know
but Chris had other plans for celebration. It happened at the “newly wed not so newly wed game show.” Chris rigged
the game so we got picked at the “currently dating” couple. After the announcer announced our names, where we
were from, and that we were the currently dating couple, Chris stood up with the microphone and said that there was something
he wanted to change. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.
Our Honeymoon Plans
Chris and I have always wanted to go to Hawaii. However, in order to remember our first cruise together and our engagement
we decided to cruise Hawaii instead. We will be sailing on the NCL Pride of Aloha, which departs on 3-19-06.
